According to http://www.fao.org/faostat/en/#data/QA, there were 2,171,000 chickens in Latvia in 2017. According to http://www.fao.org/faostat/en/#data/QL, there were 2,310,000 egg-laying hens in Latvia in 2017. I don’t understand how can there be more egg-laying hens than chickens in general because the number of chickens should include egg-laying hens. Is that a mistake in the data? Both numbers come from official data. There is the same problem with 2017 data for Bangladesh, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, French Guiana, and Iceland.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your message, and thank you for pointing this out. We will be correcting the data at the end of this year.
Best regards,

Nicola
